They pop out and have to be reinserted. Maybe mine was defected. I am reluctant to order becasue these is no guarantee that i will not be sent a faulty product again.
I wasn't impressed with the drip-free dispensers; the oil is dripping from the side after 2 weeks. The rubber mechanism for pumping is very flimsy. When i tip the bottle to pour out the oil it leaks and is no good to me.
After 10 months of oily pours, the friction (and seal) is gone. After 5 months of use the suction stopped working. The suction is awful and does not measure accurately. The rubber just fall apart the first week on the oil container.

Con i would prefer a darker glass bottle to preserve to olive oil better

The only thing to remember is to make sure that the top section of the dispenser bottle needs to be properly secured to the bottle otherwise there is not going to be any suction and you will be able to dispense anything from the bottle
