The inks also have a chip in them so the printer is not aware they are not official canon inks

Some compatible ink replacement cartridges are not straightforwardly acceptable by printers which are designed to reject

Methods include rejection unless you keep persisting disabling part of the printer software and signalling the cartridge is empty before it isnt
