I heard back from the supplier after i posted my review and they explained that hp installed some firmware back in september that blocked the use of nonhp ink cartridges

I was given a link to the hp site which allowed me to install firmware that from what i understand undoes the earlier firmware blocking the use of nonhp link

Im more upset that in actually having a need for the inks 23 months after purchasing them in finding out that they dont work i can get a refund

I wrote a one star review recently as i had purchased these a year ago and they would not work at all when i tried them

This vendor saw the review and contacted me to offer a firmware update that would correct the issue or to replace them if i had already discarded the old cartridges

I purchased these 2 sets for my hp8620 and tried both sets yellow and cyan and neither of the 4 caartridges worked i havent tried the black yet but expect the same results
