Assembly should be fairly straightforward with 12 screws but as other reviewers have said the alignment of the screws is not very good and as a result they have a tendency to strip the ends of the threads

I did have a slight manufacturing defect with mine one of the sleeves where the screw goes in to the side of the backrest was angled instead of facing straight out

Nothing that couldnt be fixed with a hammer though using the proper technique
