I find that zippers on kids boots rarely work well because the two tracks keep opening up and pulling apart and it makes it hard for the zipper to come up unless you either pull hard and risk breaking it or you line up the tracks ahead of the zipper and hold them next to each other while zipping up with the other hand too much coordination for a preschooler
