I had a pair of birkenstock sandals for years and decided to give these a try the cork and rubber sole on these look identical to the birkenstocks the strapssides are more like swede leather where as the birkenstocks were a stiffer leather the buckles look identical other then the name stamped in the birkenstocks and both brands have 4 buckle adjustment holes in the straps
