I have 2 noctua nfa8 uln 80mm fans in my case and i only had 1 available 4pin connector on my motherboard
Yes its more expensive compared to others out there but generally its for a reason

This can have the unfortunate problem of accidentally shorting out on practically anything if they become disconnected or while you are tuning with different fansspeed reducers

If both had 3 pins the motherboard would get conflicting info about the speed of the fans and it would lead to a bios error

One of the cables was slightly loose and required some electrical tape to make sure it would not come separated just to be safe
