The screen cover flap is helpful to prevent your accessories stored in the mesh pocket from scratching or scuffing the screen and also has game card storage on the other side of the flap

The case is a hard material which would certainly protect it very well if you were to drop it but the convenient carrying handle all but prevents that from happening

The velcro holds the console in place snugly and prevent it from knocking around inside the case

I was able to fit the joycon handle which comes with the console in the mesh pocket and easily close the case which makes this perfect for me
