If you think you will be wanting to get your hands on a nicer camera with more bells and whistles down the road i would consider looking at getting a d7100 or d7200 instead

It might be harder to learn all the dials and buttons at first

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If you dont have a dslr and instead are using a point and shoot or a smartphone then you simply cannot imagine what a quantum leap upwards that a d5200 represents over what you are using now

For those that are upgrading from older dslr cameras youll likely want to turn down the 24mp settings that produce almost 15mb jpeg files to something more reasonable to store and keep because this camera has megapixels to burn

Its fast its light the autofocus works like magic and youll not miss your older camera at all

To get wifi to your phone just buy the 32 adapter and download nikons image app and the adapter hangs on a little plastic case when not inserted into the accessory port

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The lenses must have autofocus in the lens but all the afs lenses work perfectly and even the latest afp lenses will work without the ability to turn off vr after upgrading the firmware

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You are getting nearly the same camera as the latest d5600 for a fraction of the price
