As this is a single focal length lens blowing pictures up on your monitor is not really a problem even with the elderly d40s 6 megapixels

The lenss body is rather chubby even though the actual optical train seems no larger

The d40 i believe does not correct lens distortion oncamera yet the new versions of even the more modern cheapest nikons do so if you want to use it for architectural work make sure the distortion removal is on in the camera

You should be ok taking landscapes but watch out for slightly distorted horizon lines if there is no incamera distortion correction

Although im using this on a dx sensor camera d500 it still produces fantasticly sharp images with dreamy bokeh

Firstly there are reviews done by people who know what they are talking about and reviews done by numpties that are usually pretty worthless

The principle improvements are in edge sharpness and chromatic abberations although these may not always be apparent
