Pros

High powered binoculars that are comfortable to use. Feels very handy, and not a problem to hold steady if seated. Did a lot of research here at amazon, at some speciality websites and at the local store.

Nikon 12x50 gives a great view both terrestrial and astronomy. Up sun flare is tolerable and diminished. Recommend a tripod and adapter.

The actual product is awesome, but i lucked out as the shipping left a lot to be desired. Outstanding quality at a very affordable price. No bells and whistles, just a good product from nikon.

These are nice optics, not a sweater! They also have the advantage of not having those * individual lens caps. Because, the inside edge of the fov of each barrel is where the object will be. Very clear lenses, easy to focus eyes independently.

The optics are excellent and they are light enough that i could hold securely with stable images

Very easy to adjust easy to site and not at all hard to use especially given the 12x power

The nikon really excels in sharpness at the center

The front caps are so cheap and flimsy i am shocked they were put out by nikon

Price

Considering the 150 price this product seems to be an excellent value

To be expected at this price point and magnification

But at more than double the cost i seriously cannot justify the purchase and returned them

There is some chromatic abberation but that too is unavoidable at this price

From the time i dropped it off for shipping repair time and return only five days had passed

I shipped it via ups to the nikon warranty location

It cleanly split the double albireo and i was able to find the 3 messier clusters in auriga very quickly

I have purchased binoculars from other companies but they dont compare with these

I dont know a lot about optics so i may be influenced by my comparing them to my previous set of bushnells
