The mattress held up remarkably well for the first 5 years, but now it seems to have pretty much given out.
I am not sure if smart base is not strong enough to hold for long time.

The 5 stars are largely for the value you get for the price.
It's so incredibly comfortable, for the price, it's almost too good to be true.
I paid in the $300 dollar range from sam's club.
Still, i'd say that's pretty amazing value, given how inexpensive it is.
