Most of these products do not protrude and sit flush or close to flush with the unibody frame so that they can be used longterm without interfering with the function or cosmetics of the macbook

Otherwise purchasing a nifty drive labeled for a different macbook model or year than what you have can result in poor fitment and possibly damage to the drive and card reader

The fitment was flawless…it did not poke out nor did it sit too deploy recessed
