Ive always used the old fashioned ones with the wire mesh, and they don't last long before you are getting poked by the broken wire .

Have had them for about a month, fit my sink perfectly, as if it came with the original sink.

That one worked fine, but over time some of the wires came loose and would jab me in the hand when trying to clean it.

This model is far better, since it uses a perforated metal screen.
