Looks like everything was there, but unfortunately, I damaged the screen during removal. Use the heat gun sparingly and watch out for damaging the screen on the small bezel on the sides. I could buy a replacement screen, but I decided to move on and buy a Pixel 3a. Good luck!  Read Less

I have a 30mo old original Pixel XL that I still love, but its battery has been going downhill steadily since about the 12 month mark and it just got too intolerable. According to Accubattery my old one was down to 50% of its original capacity, but I think it was really less than this because my phone would just shut off at around 25%. Accurately gauging old batteries is really hard because their internal resistances can vary so much.I was very worried before ordering this new battery. I've bought a lot of LiPo batteries over the years. Most have been junk. Although the text on this replacement was different than my original battery, it really looked like it came from the same factory. There was even a black piece of tape covering up a very official looking HTC logo. I don't know if this was just a really good knockoff, a factory second, or what.It took about 2 hours to replace the old battery, 90 minutes of which was cleaning off all of the old adhesive. The only included tool that I used was one of the screwdrivers. I used a hot air gun, a razor blade, playing cards, and a lot of patience to open the phone. 2mm double sided LCD tape (purchased separately) was all that was needed to close it up again. I was pleasantly surprised when I was done that there were no signs of tampering and everything worked just like new.The battery came charged at only 4%. After the first full charge, Accubattery rated this battery as being 92% of new. This keep increasing on every charge. I just finished my 5th charge and I am now up to 97%. (This is typical behavior of a battery that has been sitting a while). My phone has gone from being in the 30-40% range at 5:00pm everyday to being at 70-80%, which is actually a little better than when it was new (likely Android improvements). I don't doubt that some reviewers may be getting sub-par batteries, but I am very pleased with the one I received. I used my phone for 2 straight hours today and it only got down to 72%. With my old battery I would have stopped using it at about the 90 minute mark because it would have been down to 35% or so and I would be afraid it would shut off at any moment.Update: It is now showing 100% of new after it's 6th charge.Update #2: After another 10 days it has fallen back down to 99%, but I am still completely satisfied. Most of the poor reviews are for the 5 Pixel battery. The the 5.5 version is very good. I wish I would have made this purchase a year ago.  Read Less
