Pros & Cons
Pros
Screw cover looks great and only needed a few gentle taps with a rubber mallet on the one end to help slide it on. Technically, all you need to install is a screwdriver, but i found that a hammer and drill were also necessary. Tighten the screws. Then... Read More
It's hard to quantify in engineering terms, but i''ll bet this sweep is 10x more effective at stopping drafts than cheaper single sweep solutions due to the better fit and seals. Replaced the bottom sweep on our atrium swinging patio door in aug 2021.... Read More
It fit nicely and looks great. It fit my door perfectly and creates a very tight seal at the bottom and on the side. The dimensions are as shown in the product listing.
Multiple bottom seals are very effective and offer extra protection against pests. Double bubble on the bottom is better at sealing out air than a door sweep that has just fins.
Cons
It is almost impossible to install the trim piece when the main part is mounted. It sits flush with the door and there is no way to get the trim part on. The sweep cross section isn't rigid enough to hold a straight outside shape.

The double 34bubble34 on the bottom is better at sealing out air than a door sweep that has just fins like the one that came with the door and which this replaced

It also means we didnt have to jam the sweep down to make sure there was a good seal

Shut the door and gently push down until the seal contacts the door frame saddle

To those who complained that the slide on cover that hides the screws 34didnt fit34 and they had to force it on heres a hint it means you pushed down harder on the seal in some parts than others along its length and tightened it in place

This means there is a 34wave34 in the door mounted part that youre trying to force a straight cover onto

To fix lay a straight edge along the top of the mounted part of the door seal the slide on cover will suffice
