Will keep calcium and hard water deposits from fouling valve. No longer worried about any leaks from the hot water heater.

One drop of water, and the flood stop shuts the whole house water off. Works perfectly for 2nd floor washer/dryer setup. Washer sits in a tray with drainage pipe along with the shut off switch in the tray.

Cons

Product is total garbage that did nothing but give us hours of heartache. One review is from a plumber that pleads people not to waste their money on this brand. I'm a night shift worker, and this this is disrupting my sleep!
