    We also had to put a new latch on the door because that little flippy thing is completely useless and we put a bungee cord over the top of the nest box to make sure the raccoons can't get in.

    The ducks don't use them and a broody hen is usually sitting on the eggs or chicks, so she doesn't need them either, so i just took them out without trying to come up with a replacement.

    I wouldn't keep birds in here in the winter and i wouldn't trust it to protect my birds from sizable predators (it's a bit brittle) and i did have to do a bit of work to make it at all useful (i mean really, the door is just silly.
