Pros

I appreciate books, i love books, but sometimes it’s almost impossible to surprise me anymore. Nevernight delivered in a big way. Just a brilliant conclusion to this series.

It has amazing world-building, a strong female protagonist, and is not lacking in wit. Each & every character comes to life off of the pages and gets under your skin.

I devour jay kristoff’s prose, and some of the lyrical twists of phrase really got my blood pumping. This one doesn't disappoint. Here, kristoff really shines.

A fledgling * joins a school of assassins. The assassin school setting is a great medium for so many other interesting things. One of my favorite type of sff assassin school.

Cons

The writing style is horrific. Crass and unnecessarily foul. Also the hypersexualization of teenagers. If you are interested in what happens, skip to chapter 10 where the story picks up. A waste of 18 bucks.
