This this is awesome. Well constructed and precise. The instructions are mostly good.

Lowes and home depot both have bulk cat5e cable. Included rj-45 jacks are the modular jacks and worked good. Made about 12 connections without any issues.

Cons

Kit comes with coax shield trimmer but of course the kit does not contain any coax crimper so pretty much a waste. Punch down tool has a scissor type wire cutter that cannot be turned off or flipped around. End of punch down tool is way too big and fl... Read More

The tester is finicky, so i may have discarded some good ends because of a false negative reading. Tried several batteries and the tester would not power on. Eventually asked prof to come and fix it.
