Pros
The software makes sense and as a bonus, it looks nicer than other routers. Still rocks after three (3) years. My gaming rig is also happy on wifi!
Cons
The customer service at netgear is completely useless. This router is a total piece of garbage. Don't waste money on this unit.
Nearly every operations makes it reboot, and half of the options just kill the web interface and force you to reset he router. Randomly decides to just drop all wifi until power cycled. Only work around is to uninstall kaspersky antivirus and reinstal... Read More
Tried their router login. The admin page just keeps refusing the connection. Have to add a port forwarding rule to a non-existant ip to stop it. It is not the modem as i can connect very easily with one of my older routers.
No encryption, encryption, 5ghz, 2. Ghz. Asus support is worthless. You have to downgrade the firmware to a really old one in order for the problem to go away.

My wifi signal is poor with this at 5g i am saying so because they rated it at 100 faster but all i get is about 450mbs when i have a 1g connection from my provided with loses over distance and cable i lose about 50 mbs on cable

I purchased on the advice of an installer who indicated that my provider had 34over subscribed34 the network i was on so there was not much he could do

We can now run netflix without it downgrading quality unless there is a storm
