It is at least six feet shorter than the original wire which while its more convenient for my daily usage requires an extension should you and your music source be separated by more than four feet2

They are about 3 to 4 feet shorter so when im using these headphones as i intend i wont have 4 feet of cable coiled in my pocket like i used to back when i was in college stomping about campus in my boots an m68 jacket oblivious to the world looking like a homeless vagabond blasting my ipod nano through these

And yes i realize i could use bluetooth earbuds that can do talk and all that fun stuff with my phone and im having to use a usb c to 3
