I also have a neewer speedlight which i use with this and i have to say that i have found all the neewer products great value for money
The actual softbox part of this is really similar to the lastolite at 25 of the price

I find the inner diffuser a bit tricky to put on and take off the little clips are pretty fiddly

Id say this attachment method is better suited to the 600mm version as theres just less weight trying to pull it off the disc on the bracket

Realistically unless you have a mad powerful flash unit youre going to have your light fairly close to your subject anyway having lost two stops to the diffusion so you can expect a decently flattering quality of light for portraits or small still lifeproduct type shots

Youre also unlikely to be doing any hss stuff outdoors as well if its even remotely sunny
