I wear 8.5 and I am slender built so I naturally have narrow feet (M) and straight slim legs with calf of 12c.The Naya Raptor in black is absolutely beautiful. The leather smell made me smile as this is my first leather high boots. The fur lining is a rich black. It completely lines the entire inner sole and boot shaft except for the roof of the toe area. To give you heads up, the fur stops at the outer mark of the ruching design line. The top of boot can be turned out, giving the boot a dressy furry look for winter holidays like Christmas or New Years when its too cold for heels. I have thick soft plush socks that keep my toes warm and helps fill in boot a bit since I went up a size to 9! It fits snug, its narrow but comfortable for me not forced with great toe room with or without socks its a perfect fit. I am glad I read the reviews first.The ankle area is roomy for my skinny ankles, if you have thick or naturally swollen ankles then you can fill up this area just fine. The leg shaft is roomy at 15 and I measure at 12 but its not a sloppy look and its no different from wearing a style like uggs or bearpaw. If you like those styles. If you have bigger calves than my little one then these will fit you skin close. The zipper pull is smooth and is centered in the back. The leather is soft and excellent quality. I hope it last for many years to come as I dont have to break in them since the medium 9 is perfect. Size up for your thick socks! If you have wide feet, thick ankles & legs try two different sizes, 1 size up and 2 size up in WIDE! Make sure it says wide or C/D or E and free return before ordering ....some charge to return. I LOVE these boots so much that I ordered the Tan. Also beautiful but the leather is easy to show scatch marks but wiping it with leather kit will even out the beauty and the lining is completely white throughout.
