After spending the money on buying an organic mattress for our kids why would we do anything less than search for something organic to top it

On one hand i am disappointed because this pad was quite expensive compared to synthetic cottonblend pads and now i have to struggle to get it on to my sons twinsize mattress

I paid a premium to buy my children mattresses that dont contain flame retardants and i certainly wasnt going to throw on any old mattress pad cover to protect them especially when some of the ones i originally looked at at target actually said things like this product contains chemicals known to the state of california to cause cancer and birth defects

But i do need to keep the mattresses safe and with young kids some kind of bodily fluid is bound to be let loose atop the mattress

Regardless thankfully havent had to test the waterproof capability on the bed but i will point out that it retained an incredible amount of water after washing it in a heavyduty large capacity home washing machine

I had to run it through an extra spin cycle and the subsequent cycle in the dryer on high heat lasted over an hour

This pad is ok i wish it hadnt of shrank so much after washing as now it doesnt fit as well as id like
