Roberts fails to address the staggering evidence of napoleon's warmongery. Any book that describes napoleon as a military genius has lost its way before it started. This one is too long and mr roberts will use a 10 cent word where a penny would do.

Sharp, choppy style further exacerbates the problem. Author's style is declarative and thus boring.

If this strikes you as simplistic moralizing, i'm afraid you won't find the book much more palatable. This book is 2 wide at the spine. Flipping back to them manually is extremely cumbersome. This double print blunder goes on for many pages.
