Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The sound quality is absolutely stellar without being invasive in equipment size. It provides superior audio to the factory tv system and its surroundsound effects are impressive. Music from my streaming services like amazon music, itunes, sirius xm, ...  Read More

They seem to care about connecting to the consumer but without a big budget to do so. Even though, newer models are available i would recommend this system as it may be a better price bracket for some users.

Turning any of the devices on, immediately switches the input to that device for sound - no having to use 3 remotes to activate everything. Nakamichi remote is the whole control, so it includes controls to adjust anything. Wish it had more precise vol...  Read More

Cons

The sound bar doesn't use your wifi, it uses the same frequency. Constantly goes into a weird mode when the subwoofer just starts humming very loudly for no reason. After an hour into a movie the rear speakers start to pop and crackle.

Nakamichi shockwave is an abomination and your tech ninjas *! My far less expensive visio in the bedroom sounds much better and has yet to randomly disconnect like the shockwave. The bluetooth and startup of the system is what is pretty bad.

Not impressed. Not a great track record, imo. The lead is arrogant as well. It's not worth it.

The cs is not what is advertised and for us, nor was the product. As i return this it is largely impossible to get back in the box showing what a gigantic piece of * this thing is.

Im an audio device snob who has always felt that sound stimulation is more important than visual

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The system as a whole sounds so authentically cinematic that i havent noticed a substantial difference without front lr speakers physically in each front sides of room

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Less stuff in the room and as close to bare walls as possible will have your home theater audience oblivious to the fact the front speakers are not physically on the l and r sides of the room

Also being marketed as wireless i felt this to be a good decision

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I will say that i do feel that using the term wireless vaguely is misleading and i was initially disappointed as the set in total is not a wireless system rather the subwoofer and rear speakers operate independently of being wired to the soundbar so in that respect the bluetooth technology which pairs the rear surround and subwoofer is wireless however the surround speakers need to be powered of course so they each have a thin power line connecting to the subwoofer

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Likewise the subwoofer itself plugs into a wall outlet because of course it requires a lot of energy

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

So your rear surround speakers do have wires which will need to be strategically hidden behind your furniture or with wall wire coverings or what have you

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had initially decided upon this system as it was going into a room which needed to remain free of wires and holes in the wall so i after realizing this and restrategizing i decided to let the system itself decide whether it stayed or was exchanged for something else
