As a mom and educator, i think this book is best-suited for children ages 5+. I have a 6 year old boy who feels all the feels and he adores this book. Truly a balm to children and the child in us all.
The illustrations radiate and glow off the page. Sparse text, simple but powerful illustrations with a pop of color.

As an author/illustrator, i was struck most by the incredible use of color. The predominant color in my heart is yellow with * and greys. The color palette is spectacular.

The colors used in this book are much darker than the colors in the other book and if you want a book that would make you “happy” this is not the book for you
