This book is more incredible than i thought. His book is available through kindle unlimited, so if you have kindle unlimited, you have no excuse for not reading his music theory book!

Most people can't handle a textbook, and we'll, this is a textbook. A very straight forward and logical introduction to music theory. Author did a good job explaining the basics.

Chord progression is explained and expanded upon throughout the book as appropriate. Techniques for modifying chord progressions (substitutions, modal reduction, polytonal substitutions, chord scales) include chromaticism and polytonality.

Cons

Bad grammar, typos, reference to wrong figures (pg 21 referring to fig 4 when is should refer to fig 3) written in such an overcomplicated, confusing manner. Do not recommend for a novice.

He's a guitarist who seems to have a poor grasp of the subject. Maybe for an intro blues guitar book.
