Quality

The sponge is a high quality material that really does hold the water secure.

The wood has stayed soft and the foam sponge stays clean and mold free with the distilled water!

Kind of freaked out and went looking for another product.

Great product for the price, and i trust it.

Price

It costs pennies to produce, but they charge $15!

Competitiveness

Most other sponge-type in-case humidifiers i've tried have lasted a week or less.

I bought two of these for my wife's guitars and she is very happy with them.

Very scary especially if you have ever had the top crack because of a lack of water.

Some buzzing developed and fretting out around the 12th fret.

The downside is that this one does cost twice as much as the d'adderio one, so if you want to save some money, and don't mind checking more often, and pulling the whole unit out each time, perhaps the original would be better for you.

Would not be without them during winter, low humidity times.

I was doubtful, but the unit works without a drop being 'leaked out' due to gravity.
