Pros

These are the perfect solution for most of my cabinet doors. They keep the kids out of the fridge and the cupboard under the sink. Have used on dishwasher and cabinets. These are great for dresser drawers too.

If you need to remove it, all you have to do is turn on a hair-dryer and blow hot air on it until the sticky-part gets soft, and then you can pull it off without the mess or without damaging anything.

We have a baby gate wrapped around the stair spindle on one side by a leather belt. We use these munchkin straps to lock the other side to the wall. Our licensing inspectors were impressed by this lock system.

Cons

Trying to get these off with a knife also dented my cabinets. There was no option to just replace the defective latch.
