Set the mouthpiece in the boiled water until the edges start to curl a bit (see my picture) - use the wooden spoon to keep the piece from attaching to the sides of the potfish out the mouthpiece with the wooden spoonstraighten out the edges and let it cool for a couple secondsgently place the mouthpiece over your teeth - do not press or bite downline up the notch with the center of your teethusing your tongue, press the mouthpiece against your teeth to make an impression (do not bite)suck the air and water outpress the front of the mouthpiece against the front of your teeth (i did this part gently)when happy with the shape, remove the mouthpiece and place it in the ice waterskip the part where they say to pinch the sides together - you can try that later if the fit is too loose, but i found the fit to be far too tight when i pinched the sidesit doesn't take long to cool.
