You can slide the mounting bracket a bit away from the edge of the table but because of the size of the eye bolt loop you still need at least 2 of table overhang or else you will be unable to turn the eye bolts to tighten the mounting bracket against the table

The second issue that affected both mounts i purchased was that all the hex bolts that can be used to tighten or loosen the monitor arm itself arrived so tight out of the box that we nearly couldnt loosen them and thought we would have to return both mounts

The only thing i wish i had known prior to purchasing is that the mount is really designed to hold the monitor quite far out to the side if you want the monitor to be held right in front of the vertical mount it will be at least 12 inches away

Before i start the online product description says up to a 32 inch screen but the box says only up to 27
