The book was well written, concise and deeply healing for me. I usually have a keen eye and intuition for when people are being dishonest, manipulative, covertly hurtful etc.

I was trained to be compliant, a “good girl. Susan forward is so straight forward and practical. Also, helps the forgiving process.
Cons
The school describes itself as a correspondence school. A 'diss dissertation' of 50 pages or more. Is anyone so completely horrible as the mothers she depicts, or so perfect as the daughters?

The tips in the later chapters about dealing with an unloving mother now as an adult seem so obvious but for some reason i never got there on my own

My thought before i started reading maybe ill see some aspects of my mother and myself in this book but it seems extreme to think shes actual narcissistic
