He is less convincing in his presumably fictitious dialogues of churchill eisenhower etc but this is not all that important in the overall context of the book

The german 7th army is trapped as it nearly was and should have been the ending is abrupt and not at all convincing

A wellwritten novel of world war ii it deviates from history intentionally offering an alternative history version
