Being used on a 1080p tv, i am unable to verify if it really is capable of 3d or 4k.

Yes, they are a little bit pricey, but in the case you really get what you pay for.

I can't personally tell to the difference in the picture and/or sound quality but i can honestly say it didn't get worse.

Immediate upgrade in picture quality and sound.

Before the signal from receiver to tv would cut out and sound would not sync.
