Moen is using their slick tagline to bait and switch consumers. Decorative and nonfunctional. But, it is plastic and where it attaches to the outside handle is a plastic spline.

Save yourself the hassle and buy a different product. I suppose it's possible that we got a defective unit. Broke after 14 yrs of use.

The handle is beautiful but the lever is inferior plastic and so poorly designed it will not fit my common toilet flushing mechanism (mansfield) can't stop handle from slipping and turning without enough grip to raise the arm.
