Every molex connector i checked said the same thing

Does what its supposed to but the molex pins are loose so its really difficult to connect the ends together

It is not easy to find pwm headers by themselves so heating these w a rework station for other uses worked out great

As for using as intended the soldering and board are of decent quality the problem you may run into is drawing too much power from your original pwm header

I would run the main pwm and tach cables from the motherboard while using a molex or sata to obtain your 12v and g that way the fans would all be powered via the sata molex connector yet still receive signal via the motherboard
