Pros
It's brighter due the the clear bowl. Illuminated a dark hallway brilliantly. I have a 40 watt bulb in mine and it lights the room nicely without being too bright.
Cons
The shade is not very opaque so there is quite a bit of glare from the bulb. The base is too big and the whole thing doesn't stand straight and is very wobbly. Frustratingly poor design.

Fitting the bowl to the main stem impossible as a black grommet prevents screw threads connecting so i just snapped it of and it fitted ok

There is a serious issue with the instructions the lamp holder must be screwed into the top pole but there is a plastic ring in the top presumably to protect the cable in transit which must be removed before this can be done

It’s a slim pole so wouldn’t recommend putting it where it’s likely to get knocked as it might fall over

Unfortunately the bulb that i ordered with it was the wrong bulb not a screw bulb which was annoying
