Pros

Year warranty is amazing, and judging the the longevity and the well built quality, i doubt i'll need it.

The quality of coffee seems superior over drip machines. It makes a full pot in just minutes. Coffee brews quickly and is the perfect temp. You need to buy beans and grind them yourself since bagged coffee is too fine to use in a moccamaster.

The cover for the filter basket is easily removable during the brewing. The carafe uses two lids. One lid is for brewing.

The coffee the moccamaster makes is exquisite. This is a quality product up and down from the way it is manufactured to the coffee it produces. This coffee maker makes good coffee.

The coffee tastes fantastic in the insulated stainless steel carafe. The coffee is still warm(not hot, just warmish) hours later with the brew stopper still inserted. No heating element to worry about with the stainless steel carafe.

Cons

My initial impression of this coffee maker was overpriced. I can't for the life of me understand the rave reviews and positive youtube videos that make this seem like a must-have.

At almost $400 this unacceptable. It isn't even remotely worth the price tag. But, for the hefty price tag, it needs to do better.

Competitiveness

My daughter and soninlaw have had a moccamaster for years and we always liked their coffee better than any other

Overall it’s a good machine but the other mochamaster models are superior

Of course i choose another technivorm based on by previous experiences

So a few months ago i gave up and bought a moccamaster during a period in which the price which usually is not discounted dropped about 40
