The unit comes with a coffee mug that fits perfectly inside the unit and makes full contact with the metal that goes around it
The reviews on the coldplatehotplate style coolerwarmers i saw here on amazon were terrible for that type of product

It is hard to see from the pictures try zooming in but on the top of this unit there are 3 buttons

There is one that has a little black plastic thing that you turn to openclose the can replaces the tab on top

There is another style monster can that has a metal screw top that you unscrew and remove to open the can and screw back on to reseal it
