So i setup a dedicated vlan on the switches for the extender to use between the two rooms and assigned ports on both switches for that vlan so the traffic they send doesnt degrade wifi like other reviewers have had issues with

For those curious on how much bandwidth is required the switches were reporting 3040 mbps on average being fed a 1080i signal from the tivo

I have them connected rx to a port near the tvs running cat 6 anywhere from 250 to 450 all the way back to the patch panel in the server room

The ir sensors are flaky however
