Pros
Using this adaptor to cast same screen from an apple macbook pro (pre 2016) via hdmi to a tv. Now can watch netflix, youtube, whatever from my tv rather than laptop. If you are already using the hdmi output then the mini display port is a lifesaver.
Cons

The extension stops working after a couple of weeks of use. Problem is, i work all over the world and just arrived back to uk 3 weeks ago and catching up with reviews. Have now resorted to ordering a genuine microsoft product instead.
Overall really dissatisfied with this product. It costs more than 23 pounds. Other than that, it’s pretty useless.

Ivanky do another adapter for up to 4k screen resolutions but its a bit more money

As i understand it those higher reolutions require an active adapter whereas the lower resolutions can use a passive adapter like this one
