Well i did research and a shout is any sound higher than 80dba or decibals the unti sound it measured in

So i took the meter put it to my mouth and shout but put the setting on max and what it does is it listening for the highest sound so when i shout it was loud but it was 87dba and thats what i wanted but you have to put the setting on max

Its going to measure the loudest it got or the peak of the sound and it will give you one fixed number
