However to clarify one of the other reviewers made it seem like you could charge the charger and then both the charger and the phone would work together wirelessly

If the charger is not plugged into the wall or the computer it will not charge your phone

Therefore the charge is wireless in that your phone does not need to be plugged into the unit but the unit itself does need to be plugged in
