I have a 65lbs boxer husky mix and he is strong but this leash is strong enough and durable to handle his random energy bursts
I read about various bungies wearing out not sure which brands but this bungie seems really strong
The elastic part of the leash is extremely tight my 20lb corgi does not ever stretch it at all
Dog could be kickedtall people gt 6the metal is turning brownpink but thats not an issue for me

The only reason i gave it four stars is if you are smaller waisted it only goes so tight

One improvement i believe that could be made which is the only reason i gave 4 stars and not 5 would be to switch to a velcro tightening system instead of the buckle system they have now

The bungee is high tension so when he is walking calmly he cannot even extend the leash all the way out
