I was skeptical about a robot cleaner but am pleasantly surprised with the miele rx1
One of my cats is terribly fascinated with the rx1 scout and follows it around and seems to love it
Unfortunately this interferes with the scout because it is a machine and it doesnt understand that the cat is not a piece of furniture
This product works very well on hard floors but on carpet it doesnt work that well because it doesnt actually have any suction
Packaging/appearance
It always stops at the edges of the stairwells
Competitiveness
The dust bin is generous but understandably doesnt compare with any oldschool vacuum
I would even consider the new rx2’s but i may wait for a price drop

I was surprised by how much this little thing managed to pick up even in parts of the floor that are vacuumed pretty regularly

If you use this product you will still have to break out the vacuum on occasion especially if you have any tight spaces where the body of the robot wont fit

I would like to be able to report on whether or not i believe this little sweeper is worth the purchase price but as of the date that i write this vine review the price has not been published on amazon

I kind of see this as weekly maintenance appliance with occasional runs with a full sized vacuum to get the more stubborn dirt and materials up

You place the side brushes on the underside of the unit take out the plastic film from the top and from the base unit but before you are able to use you need to charge the battery takes around 2 hours for full charge

You can set it in four different modes auto the vacuum follows a standard pattern across the floor going back and forth spot the vacuum stays limited to a specific area from its starting point corner the vacuum makes additional passes along edges after it returns to its starting point and turbo the vacuum works on soiled areas for a short period of time
