Midiplus x3 controller is great so far! Perfect little minimal midi keyboard. Quality of build and feel of the keys on this model put it at the top of the heap.
Sturdy metal chassis, keys are just the right width for a mini keyboard. Keys are moderately quiet and they feel good in spite of being small. Nice to have a keyboard for quick use alongside my computer.
The midiplus x4 has a usb and 5-pin midi out port and sustain pedal 1/4 jack. It excels at controlling external hardware synths. Easy integration with garage band.
It's likely not noticeable. Kind of annoying, but certainly not a deal breaker. It only bugged me for a couple of days; now it is second nature to sometimes curl fingers slightly more so that my thumb reaches without issue.
Cons
This midi keyboard is ok if your just starting out and want something cheap. It will not be recognized by any midi software. Notes stick in sustain if you hit them, and the sustain pedal jack doesn't work. I will know if it is truly defective when i r... Read More

The only thing that bugs me is that the pitch bend sticks at times, and does not return to normal position until you touch the ribbon again.
