    Then i easily popped off foil top like an old fashioned soda bottle top and the cork is cleanly exposed.

    The cutter works fine but it will not fit in the set holder because it has a thicker base than the original.

    I hate when i see people just stick their cork screw into their wine bottle with the foil still on and then they remove the cork - which is harder to do with the foil wrap still tightly over it- but then they go ahead and pull the corkscrew out and it leaves all the jagged foil sticking straight up because they didn't cut the foil off out of the way.
