Pros

Little modeling dough cans are small and portable to take to restaurants. Melissa & doug products come in a wooden box to store easily.

Cons

My 3 year old lost interest in this set very quickly for that reason and prefers other sets. This isn't what i'd hoped. Pretty disappointing. Cute idea but poorly executed.

Play-doh plastic roller does a much better job at flattening the dough. The dough sticks to the tools and remains in the holes of the square blocks.

The hassle to return and replace the item is too much for the price, but i would think twice before giving this as a gift. Don't waste your money. Would not recommend this to anyone.

M&d products are made of good stuff, but the pieces are very tiny. The product belongs in a high-end toy store where pretty is more important than quantity. Although they come beautifuall packaged, as soon as you open it the small pieces escape.

Sticks to your hands and makes a big mess i tossed it all

Packaged well and was delivered as expected

The wooden box is pretty useless without a top

Competitiveness

I suggest putting it right into the trash and just use the tools with other clay brands

Sometimes i find the other brands lids hard to open too

Otherwise its a great buy just buy name brand playdough or make your own
